A corpse of unidentified person has been found on Monday April 10, 2006 at the border of Rubirizi and Nyabunyegeri localities in the commune of Mutimbuzi in the province of Bujumbura.

According to people who saw the corpse, the person was more than 25 years old. They also say that he might have been killed with a bayonet. The corpse had some traces of blows. Those who saw it the first say that he was naked.

According to the administrative authorities of the commune of Mutimbuzi, the victim might have been killed elsewhere and the murders came to throw his corpse in the commune of Mutimbuzi, reason for why nobody could identify the victim.

Let’s recall that another person, Ntahimpereye Jean Baptiste, an employee of the European Union in Bujumbura, had been found dead in the same commune of Mutimbuzi in the morning of March 1, 2006. This crime might have been committed by some agents of the national police who had arrested him the day before his assassination.
