A mother held at the hospital of Kayanza for not having been able to pay the whole bill.
A mother, Nyabenda Sophie, who lives in Bubezi locality in the commune and province of Kayanza, is held at the hospital of Kayanza since March 22, 06 because she has not been able to pay the whole invoice of maternity.
Sophie had given birth to two twins and had to pay an invoice of 32.000 francs. Unfortunately, she had not been able to pay all the money and the hospital then held her expecting that she could pay the 10.000 francs which remained.
Let’s recall that the head of state had expressed his wish that there would be no more mothers who are detained at the hospital for unpaid medical invoices.
