Combatants of Palipehutu-Fnl armed movement intensify attacks in some localities of the commune of Musigati in the province of Bubanza. In the night of June 5, 2006 a military position was attacked at Bitare, zone Muyebe of the commune of Musigati. During this attack, two soldiers were wounded and one combatant of Fnl captured.

Another two hour attack had been led by rebels of the same movement in the night of May 31, 2006 against the civil population of the same locality of Bitare. They plundered in 183 houses where they stole 11 pigs, 46 hens, 20 rabbits and a lot of domestic goods. The attack lasted about.

During this attack, a civil, Ndikubandi Dominique, was assassinated and his nephew seriously wounded. Soldiers followed the rebels and they succeeded killing two of them and and captured another.
