A Rwandese businessman attempted to corrupt the governor of Cibitoke province.
A Rwandese businessman, Mirihano Jacques, was arrested on 13th June 2006 and then detained in the dungeon of Cibitoke zone in the province of Cibitoke for having attempted to corrupt the governor of the province of Cibitoke, Ndayizeye Samson.
He attempted to give him 200.000 francs so that he can authorize him to run a bakery business in Cibitoke province city centre. The governor then asked the police to arrest him and jail him.
The next day, with the agreement of the Director of the hospital of Cibitoke, the money was given to some hospitalised ill persons. Women who were in the maternity shared 150.000 Francs and children hospitalised in pediatry shared the 50.000 remaining francs.
