Twenty combatants of Palipehutu - Fnl attacked a village of Gihungwe.
It has been reported that a group of 20 combatants of the Palipehutu -Fnl armed movement , attacked the village of Gihungwe in the province of Bubanza in the night of 26th June around 10, aiming at stealing and looking for food. They had stolen 4 bicycles, a lot of clothes and food. They also wounded a civilian woman.
The soldiers intervened and there were fire shootings for some time before the attackers fled in the reserve of Rukoko and went back in Congo from where they had come.
A combatant of Fnl, who was seriously wounded during cross fire shootings and whose companions had left him alone behind, was captured by soldiers. Three stolen bicycles and clothes were found back.
The wounded woman was taken to the hospital of Bubanza but, as she was a have not, she was not accepted because they feared that she could not be able to pay the bill. The commune of Bubanza had accepted to pay the invoice but that could not convince the authorities of the Hospital. She was finally sent to Bujumbura medical care and the commune of Bubanza promised to pay her invoice.
