In commune of Rumonge, Bururi province, two children have been seriously wounded by two mines on August 8, 2006 that they discovered near a military barracks at Gateka while they were looking after goats. They are for the moment hospitalised at the hospital of Rumonge.

Displaced and repatriated persons who would like to go back to their respective lands ask the government proceed initially to the mine clearance of these explosives especially in the cities of Vyiregwa, Gatobo in commune of Buyengero and at Muhanda in commune of Rumonge and on the mountain of Rukambasi.
