A person was assassinated and another seriously wounded by night watchmen.
Two people were seriously beaten by night watchmen who look after the valley plantations of Kigozi in the locality of Yaranda - Kigozi in the commune and province of Bubanza. It was in the night of September 5, 06 when these two people were caught stealing crops in the fields.
The first victim, Rwasa Rosalie, died away while the wife of her son, Kabagabirwa, survived the blows. According to their close members of their family, the two persons had become qualified crops robbers. They add that they do not regret their fate.
This locality of Kigozi is struck by food shortage and the hungry population are obliged to steal in plantations to get something to eat.
