Sunday on October 22, 06, the parents and the close relatives of the victims of the holocaust of Kibimba and some of the survivors of these killings went to the monument of Bubu in Kibimba in the province of Gitega to commemorate the 13th anniversary of the assassination of more than one hundred pupils of the college of Kimbimba, burnt at Bubu by some of their teachers, helped by the surrounding population.

The two wings of the Uprona party, the Vert Intwari party and MRC Rurenzangemero party had also taken part in these ceremonies. The former president of the republic, Major Pierre Butyoya, was also present.

No representative of the government or the administrative authority had come to join others. Let’s point out that since the party on the power has seized the power, the government has decided to boycott the commemoration of the massacres of Bubu.
