Militants of Cndd-Fdd of the commune of Rumonge who are pro- Hussein Radjabu, the chairman of the Cndd-Fdd party, were holding a meeting in the hall of the high school of Rumonge on January 29th, 2007 when the police intervened to interrupt them from holding it.

Nicimpaye alias Mpawe who was chairing the meeting told the militants that there was a delegation from Bujumbura which was going to arrive soon carrying a message.

The commander of the Police of Interior Security in Rumonge told the participants that the meeting was not legal since they had not formally asked the permission to hold it. They had then to interrupt it and go back home. Most of the participants were Moslems.
