The population of Buramata expresses their anger against the recruitment of masons who come from Bujumbura
Around 200 work seekers revolted in Buramata in the commune of Gihanga of the province of Bubanza to express their anger against the recruitment of 20 masons who have come from Bujumbura for the building of a teaching communal college of Gihanga.
These people even telephoned to the office of the President of the Republic to denounce the case and to make them understand that they are not ready to accept it. In fact, they say that local population also needs a work and therefore they will not accept that they bring other people from other provinces whereas they too can do the job. This college will be financed by Greece.
The representative of Greece told them that had not to. He said that he can give a job to who he wants and warned them that if they do not need this college, they can build it elsewhere where they need it..
Members of Parliament from Bubanza province and administrative authorities intervened to calm the revolted population.
