A person was assassinated in his residence by criminals on the 2nd April, 07, in Karonda sector in the commune of Rumonge in the province of Bururi by a group of criminals armed with rifles. They opened fire on him while he was trying to prevent them from smashing the door of his house.

The victim died from his wounds the next morning at the hospital of Rumonge. Another person died in the same night drowned in the lake Tanganika while swimming.
