A taxi driver called Vyuzura who lives at Ndago in the commune of Songa in the province of Bururi, was assassinated in Bisoro commune on June 17, 2007 by a group of organized bandits who then stole his taxi. They then went to sell it in Tanzania.

After having murdered him, they left his corpse near Mushwabure River, in the commune of Bisoro in the province of Mwaro where his body was found four days later close to the Mushwabure River.

According to police sources, six of these bandits have been arrested in Tanzania at Karerema where they were selling the stolen car. The same sources indicate that the group belongs to a network of bandits from Bujumbura but organizes armed robbery up country.
