Coffee which was going to be sold in Rwanda was seized in Mwumba by the police.
The police of interior security in Mwuba commune in the province of Ngozi seized 1, 8 T of coffee which a tradesman was going to sell in Rwanda. It was seized on August 4, 07 at Cahi. The owner, Miburo, succeeded escaping towards Rwanda, giving up his coffee and his truck. The coffee was conveyed at the communal office and will be sold on the behalf of Mwumba commune.
Let’s recall that coffee farmers of the province of Ngozi unlawfully sell coffee in Rwanda where the price is relatively high. Not to be caught, they cross Kanyaru River at night. Let’s remind that 6 people drowned some time ago when they were trying to cross the Kanyaru River to go and sell their coffee in Rwanda.
