On September 5th, 2007, unidentified criminals launched a grenade killing one person and seriously wounding two others. The grenade was thrown in a bar at Shoza in the commune of Nyamurenza of Ngozi province.

The victims belong to the same family, Sindabizera François, the head of the family, who died right away, his wife and his child, seriously injured. The wounded have been rushed to the hospital of Kiremba for medical treatments. The reasons and the criminals are not yet known but the police have started investigations.
