A person from Karonge sub hill, Mpishi hill in Musigati commune of Musigati in Bubanza province, who might suffer from mental illness, killed a person and wounded 5 others with blows of machete in the afternoon of Sunday September 9, 2007. The attacker took also a child of one of the victims and went to throw him in the Mpongore river.

When the neighbors saw that, they caught him and cut him with the same machete, but he did not die about it. For the moment, all the victims are in various health centers of the province of Bubanza and at the hospital of the chief town where they are being treated.

The attacker is at the hospital of Bubanza under the monitoring of the police force. He is still launching threats while trying to untie shackles to attack once again the victims.
