The employees of COGERCO Company have started unlimited strike since the 26th September 07. They denounce the administrative sanctions taken against both the trade union secretary- General, Jean de Dieu Niyongabo and the garage mechanic, Ntahomvukiye Henri, and the dismissal of the administrative and financial manager, Bwashi Candide. They also claim the salary up rise of 15% referring to the president decision.

The trade union regrets that management problems from which suffers the company have not found any solution thought they had been reported to the concerned management bodies which would have taken appropriate decision. Rather, the Director-General, Léopold Manirakiza, recommends the trade Union to take the case to judicial bodies which are the well appropriated bodies to settle such case. Concerning the salary up rise of 15%, the Director General said that their claim is founded and will get appropriated solution soon.
