Policeman of the police of interior security in Kibago commune has tortured on the 24th November 07 a local administrative authority of the locality of Jimbi in the commune of Kibago in the province Makamba. The victim got in conflict with a militarized civilian employee, to whom he had asked to give a hand by helping to clean a water fountain during comminatory works. The local administrative authority was then arrested and then was taken to the dungeon of the police station of Kibago where he had been tortured.

After having been tortured, he was released but when he arrived home he felt very bad and they took him to the health center of Jimbi but he was then transferred in the hospital of Makamba where he is still hospitalized.

The victim has no physical traces of torture but he says that he has been hurt on the feet and could not walk. League Iteka in MAKAMBA demanded that medical statement should be established for later prosecution of the torturer.
