A detainee held in the prison of Bururi has been shot dead by the police while he was attempting to run away on Monday the 17th December 07. He was accused of having assassinated a person in an armed robbery and had been sentenced by the provincial Court of Bururi. At the time when the detainee was going to enter in the judge office, he attempted to run away from the police and the late one opened fire on him and two ballets hit him on the head and he died.
