Rwandan refugees settled in Ngozi and Kirundo provinces migrate towards other provinces.
Since the beginning of April, there is an on going movement of Rwandan refugees who fled their country because of rumours about a revenge of Tutsi genocide survivors against the Hutu who committed the genocide in April 1994
The Rwandan and Burundian authorities visited these refugees in their sites to persuade them to go back in their country.
Some responded to this call but others said that they prefer to take refuge in other countries instead of returning to Rwanda if Burundi does not want to shelter them.
Some of these refugees who are in the sites of the provinces of Ngozi and Kirundo start to flee in other provinces fearing to be repatriated by force.
On May 12, 2005, some refugees arrived at the centre of Cankuzo saying that they came from Rwanda but it seems that they were coming from others sites of the provinces of Ngozi and Kirundo.
