On the 3rd May 2008 about 21 hours, a person from Nyabubuye sector, Ngoma zone in Murwi commune and Cibitoke province has been wildly killed by unknown persons. Nshimiye, the victim was slaughtered and his tongue had been cut with a machete. The reason behind the crime would be a land conflict and a suspected person has already been arrested and jailed in the custody of Murwi commune.

On the 4th May 2008, the following night, another person called Jean Berchmans Ntawunga from Nyagashubi locality, Gahabura zone in Bukinanyana commune had been shot. The criminal and the reason behind the crime are unknown. The inquiries are being done so as to get more information about.

The same night, an attempt of murder failed in Mabayi commune during an arm robbery when Saidi has been attacked by unknown persons who failed to slaughter him with a machete and a big sum of money whose total is unknown had been robbed. A suspected person in that robbery Nurwumuryango had been arrested.
