A former Member of Parliament arrested in Kirundo town centre.
On July 14th 08 around 12 , Gérard Nkurunziza, a pro Radjabu former member of parliament who was elected in Kirundo province was arrested by the police in Kirundo town centre but was then led to Bujumbura by the Interior Security Police of Kirundo province.
According to the information from the place, the policeman who arrested him had a warrant for arrest but the reason behind his arrest is still unknown. He is the second member parliament among the 22 recently excluded from National Assembly who has been arrested after Pasteur Mpawenayo.
