On Monday 30th May, 2005 in Giharo, Giharo commune, Rutana province, the population apprehended a new repatriated person from Kenya called Giswaswa for having raped 6 little young girls aged from 8 to 10 years old. The suspected rapper is now detained in the brigade of Giharo where he is undergoing an interrogation. The victims were led on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 to the hospital Kinyinya where the victims of rape are treated.

According to Bizimana Clemence, who took the victims to the hospital, this 60 year old man uses sweets, bread and sugar as bait to attract his victims. Once in the house he rapes them, as it was reported by one of the victims. According to Clemence, this incident is one of the token that this phenomenon is becoming more and more a crucial question in this commune. It is also urgent that emergency measures should be taken to punish the perpetrators of this crime.

However the administrator of this commune seems sceptic concerning the sanction which will be inflicted to the perpetrator of this crime.
