On August 25th 08, the Synergy of People for Farming Development office was besieged by around one hundred members from some of the 320 associations members of the Synery from the provinces of Bubanza and Cibitoke. They were coming to claim their participation of BIF 50,000 Bu paid by every person to before becoming member of the synergy.

The reason behind this demonstration was to protest against the dismissal the account and executive secretary by the Legal Representative who replaced them by some of his own close relatives without consulting the general assembly.
