On Monday August 19th about 7 PM in the evening, two armed bandits stopped a person who was passing by from the Swahili quarter of the Muyinga town centre on his way home to Mwakiro aiming to steal from him all his belongings he had with him.

They asked him to give them all what he had but he refused and rather tried to free him from them and indeed he succeeded but as he was running away from them, they shot him on his arm. The criminals then disappeared away and were not identified.
