The political party, Sahwanya Frodebu, continues to protest against the results of the elections of the communal counsellors. The spokesman of this party expressing himself on the media, denounced the irregularities which were observed during and after the elections. He even asked for the cancellation of these elections which has been characterized by cheating.

Along the week of the 6 to 11 June 2005, leaflets were distributed in several provinces aiming at inciting the population to blame the results of the poll and to diabolize the Cndd - Fdd party.

These leaflets say that Cndd -Fdd is a party which is under the influence of the foreigners. It is supported by the president of Rwanda Paul Kagame and by Coloryn Mac Askie, the special representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations.

They mention that those who voted for Cndd - Fdd voted Uprona party. They make a call to all Hutu not to vote for Cndd -Fdd,, which is a party of bandits and criminals.

Let us recall that the Secretary of Frodebu, Leonce Ngendakumana, had recognized the victory of Cndd - Fdd as soon as the results were known but three days later, the spokesman of the party reacted to reject the results which the secretary of the party had recognized.
