A mother,Mrs. Ndayishimiye Claudine, who was feeding her baby, has been killed at her home in the urban commune of Ngagara by two young armed criminals. It was around 7 PM in the evening when she was sitting at the veranda chatting with her visitor, when they saw two young men armed with a fire weapon coming, heading towards them. Once close to them, one of criminals pointed his pistol to Mrs. Ndayishimiye Claudine, and the visitor first thought that they were bandits seeking to steal. She then horridly started taking off her jewelry that she then tried to hand to them, just a matter of showing them that they were ready to give them all valuable goods they had, to get their lives saved.

The two criminals refused to take them, and she then understood that the aim of their coming was rather something else. The visitor took the baby from the mother and she rushed into the house where she hid. Shortly after, they heard fire shootings.

It was with sadness that later, when they got out to see what had happened that they found that it was Claudine that was shot dead.

The reason behind the crime remains unknown and the criminal unidentified. Accord to the little sister of the victim, the later was in good terms with her neighbors and had no interests in politics. She was rather fond of her children and spent much of her time in praying.
