The Minister for Good Governance, general inspection of State and local administration, Mr. Joseph Ntakarutimana, hold a press conference on November 9, 2005 during which he warned the perpetrators of embezzlements and corruption of the risks they are running.

He recognized indeed that these last years were characterized by a favourable context for corruption and embezzlements of all kind.

He thus advised any person who might have been guilty of any embezzlements or corruption to get in contact by himself discretely with the concerned services of the above Ministry before the end of this year, to discuss on the mechanisms of refunding the spoiled wealth and the damages caused otherwise they will be in jam with anti-corruption brigade which is about to be on work in Burundi.
