The security situation continues to worsen in the province of Bubanza.
Since Friday on November 18, 2005, the Palipehutu-Fnl combatants carried out attacks in several villages of the province of Bubanza. They killed civilians, plundered in houses and kidnapped persons and led them to unknown destinations.
On November 19, 2005, fightings broke out between combatants of Fnl and soldiers of the Forces for National Defence at Mirembera and Nyarurambi in the zone of Butanuka. Two Fnl combatants were captured, five others killed and two guns seized. The same day, two people were kidnapped at Muyange in the zone of Gihanga and were led to an unknown destination.
On Friday at night, November 18, 2005, unidentified criminals assassinated a person, Banderembako, who lives at Nyarugongo in the zone of Ruce in Rugazi commune. In the same night, other armed persons attacked in the sectors of Kayange and Masare in Musigati commune, stealing money and other goods in the houses and wounding, Ningabire Marine and Mechak. This attack was the 4th since the beginning of this month.
