The Burundian Human Rights Organisation “Iteka”, with a financial support of its partners, the United Nations Program for Development, UNDP, and a technical support of a Swiss Organisation, Small Arms Survey, organized at Cercle Nautique of Bujumbura, a two day focus group session , on the 1st and the 2nd February, 2006, for the demobilized ex-combatants of armed movements and governmental army, through their association, the CEDAC, to talk about the proliferation and the traffic of light weapons.

This session helped to provide with objective and scientific data that will help to set up a suitable programme of disarmament which takes into account today’s political context.

Let’s mention that all the armed movements were represented in that session.
