A rapist, Harerimana Paul, who lives in Muhanga commune, in Kayanza province who was imprisoned for having raped a 10 year old child, was released by a policeman of the Criminal Investigation Department of Kayanza after having been given BiF 200.000 by the rapist. The released rapist has gone to Bujumbura where he might have taken a refuge.

Following this case, the public prosecutor in province of Kayanza is going to hold a meeting of the police of Kayanza on this Thursday February 23, to discuss on unjustified cases of release and escape.
